These milkweed seeds were collected at the Bucknell Center for Sustainability & the Environment(BCSE), located on Fraternity Road, on Bucknell’s main campus.


Common Milkweed – Asclepias syriaca

In addition to serving as a host plant for Monarch butterflies, Milkweed also supports the Milkweed Tussock Moth, Milkweed Beetle, and the Milkweed Bug, among others. It is also a source of nectar and nesting material for many other species of pollinators and birds.
